BSOC: Sagamore Teams Face Tough Assignments In Sectionals

The four team boys’ soccer sectional involving Montgomery County schools has a familiar look. For
the third straight year, Crawfordsville and North
Montgomery
are scheduled for a first round showdown. This comes on
the heels of a 1-0 Crawfordsville victory in the regular season match a little
over a week ago.Southmont would appear to have drawn a break with the pairings.
The Mounties will take on North Putnam. The Mounties destroyed the Cougars in
an early season match; 13-0Motivation will surely be on the side of the
Chargers in their battle with the Athenians. Crawfordsville has won the first
round battles each of the last two seasons.

Frankfort’s
highly regarded team will head into action in the Lafayette Sectional. The Hot
Dogs drew Lafayette Central Catholic in the first round. If they defeat the
nights, a likely second round match with McCutcheon awaits.

If it wasn’t for bad luck, the Lebanon team would have no luck at
all. The Tigers fall into the sectional at powerful Zionsville and immediately
drew the hosts in the first round. Western Boone will face University in the
other half of the bracket. The bad luck didn’t stop with Lebanon.
Tri-West drew the hosts at Brownsburg and Danville
did likewise at Avon.
